I got a replacement front left calipper last weekend and I think I did a pretty good job installing it.. no leaks, brakes feel fine :bump:

The car has beem to Limerock Park (cant go back until its quiter), Watkins Glen and September 17th it gooes to NJMP...........you want to turn up and take pictures???

I hope you're not talking about parade laps. Who did you run with. Almost all major clubs have a photograhper that takes picts and posts them on their website for purchase. I suggest you pay the 50 bucks and get the picts since its up to you to prove you run the car hard.

If I roll it out to a racing event and let a guy use my ratchet, can I say my tools are vintage racing tools? We need to get these things straightened out. The problem with that thread at the other place is people veered way off topic just to show off their non-vintage poser cars. The topic of the thread was, and still is, Vintage road race pics. There is nothing "vintage" about making a clone of a real race car. You can call it a "tribute" car, but that yellow car isn't even that. It has the wrong color paint, the wrong engine, and a ton of wrong parts installed on it. A tribute car is a car done as closely to the original as possible with today's parts availability. That yellow car doesn't come close to the original red one in that description. There are no pics of it actually road racing, so it can't even make that claim. Where I used to live we used a different description than poser for what was done to that yellow Vette. But if I used it I'd be banned. I'm on thin ice as it is over here, so don't want to bring any more heat on me

Forty years ago I found this brand new Craftsman tool box in perfect condition on the side of the road (empty of course) I liked the way the guy had his name lettered on the front so I changed my name, filled the box and throughout the years stickered up the inside of the lid.....I also own a bridge in NY city with a producing oil well at one end and a money tree at the other, and I`m willing to sell it...the bridge NOT the tool box.

However, I am a bit embarassed by my lack of decals on my toolbox. I am going outside to take a pictures of my meager garage. I will hide my head in shame after posting the pics. I am a sorryass version of a poser. I stand in awe of the expert posers.

lvrpool32: My opinion had/has nothing to do with you hijacking the thread on the other forum. If you think your car is "vintage" then all cars older than 2007 are vintage. You have no pictures to post of you actually road racing you car, so it doesn't qualify as a road racer.
What you really have is a street Corvette with a hopped-up engine and lots of JC Whitney bolt on spoilers and wings. The pics I posted of the Cheetahs are real road race and drag cars. They aren't streetable and there are no "creature comforts" inside. They are proven performers because they actually race or have raced. That vendor at CF saying "That baby outta haul some......aaaaaaaa" is meaningless because it hasn't been proven that it does. A laundry list of aftermarket add-ons does not equate to a fast car. I've seen a whole bunch of heavily modded cars that aren't as fast as some pure stock racers.
Oh yeah....if you think you felt my "wrath" on the CF, then ask someone who has actually felt my wrath in the past. Everyone here knows who I'm talking about

You and me both...I must admit that my toolboxes are sorry examples of posers.....but my tastefully decorated carb tuner and dizzy parts boxes make nice posers
