That "look" is really coming together. For "class" options/rules, could you get by with the mods to the rear deck by denpo.
I've looked and came up empty - but here is on that could "disguise" anything that you do underneath:

A solid windscreen - well placed louvers , that tilt/twist the flow to that nice wing you have...
Oh I'd like to see the numbers before/after. Maybe even some streamlines. Hmmmm.
Oh yeah - I got work to do too!

Cheers - Jim

it's almost ready to get some paint

need to just remove the rear reflector and tape it up.... tomorrow

then roll it out, inflate the booth, clean it, then shoot it. Weather is supposed to cooperate this week (crossing fingers)

and EV too
I recommended a Volt to my parents - best car they've ever had (and my dad is a former Lyon's running drag racer).... I don't hate them but think they're very short sighted because we don't have enough lithium to do what they are making laws to force

that said, when I vent my ac lines to atmosphere, it goes right by the solar panels on the roof (which will pay for themselves in 5 years)

anyway.... enough of my ambiguity

so first 'fun' was sanding a run on the inside of the scoop.... blanking amateur painter (and I hope that JA is still following this)
CKURBzlh.jpg
borrowed the go-jack to make this easier to sand

and now we're getting there

as I mentioned yesterday.. this is a 'good enough' paint job. IF I ever use another body shop, I'll be 100% more thorough when I pick up the car.... really, I'm as mad at them as I am at myself for accepting the crap work.... and still, it's a race car - who knows, maybe the next fix will be a nose or tail after I run out of talent.

we bought a bouncy house for the grand kids probably 10 yrs ago. I thought it was a stupid idea and didnt see how it could possibly hold up. well 10 yrs later and every kids birthday party and household gathering it is still going strong.

you know, you could paint panels is said bouncy house.... maybe even an entire MG.... would certainly make painting more fun

lots of color sanding

did not work well, think I'm going to matte clear the center or even most of the hood (which solves a glare problem) as fix.
q1Mi1tbh.jpg

of course, that means waiting another 3 weeks before I paint to avoid lifting

envisioning tape

3 stripes?
zUNtnqGh.jpg
where to end the flat paint
UclDXyEh.jpg
or
fVHUjK7h.jpg

and just thinkin' I will flat the hood because it does not help to get a reflection on it.... the rest, dunno

interesting stripes, i like the three slashes for some reason, those look like chevrons, what do they look like as a straight line being on an angle? does it get wonky?

this is like one of those leadership tests describe an angle with out drawing it...... so here goes, if the fender crease is the straight line and the windshield is perpendicular to it , the imaginary line would start at the window at a 45* angle and go over the crease all in the same line some where over the wheel

maybe its even reversed so it would be 135*

You've been working the splitter. Thoughts on a diffuser?

I do like the rear "murdered" look on the bumper-ettes. Nice touch.
Plate and tail lights could use some tone down - if it passes Tech.

Cheers - Jim

my thought is I need a 3d printer.... the way I built that - the ends are removable/replaceable so I can experiment as I go along

I'm disappointed in how the paint turned out but if I can get a few minutes to finish a tune then I'll be racing in a month
