New TKX installed, new trailing arms, tires etc. (I'll spare you the long laundry list of work done) The all new interior is still in boxes in my house just waiting to be installed.
From the body shop today

In the sunlight do I detect a metallic finish?
Curious minds want to know.
BTW - Nice to have another Black 'Vette on the forum!
Cheers - Jim

"there I was, just driving along, and this happened" .... uh.... we need storiesTook the car to a show on Sunday and blew the engine on the way home. After I got over being depressed about it I went shopping online (isn't that what we all do nowadays?) and settled on a new Blueprint 383.
Admittedly I did hear some noise - I thought it was the old headers finally starting to leak. Turns out it was piston slap that went away after oil pressure built up. I took it on the highway after the car show and was driving rather conservatively when the piston separated from the connecting rod. I called for a flat bed and had it towed home."there I was, just driving along, and this happened" .... uh.... we need stories
