FL had a great yard 20 years ago, I think it’s gone now.

I used to go to a Corvette salvage yard in Bristol, Pa north of Philly. Might be the same place.

I was able to get a bunch of quality, original parts there. Had to be over 15 years since I last went there. Business was Contemporary Corvette and they had acres of wrecked Corvettes of all generations. I think they are still there.

This guy post photos of NOS frames. I’m pretty sure it was on Buffalo CL, but now only on Buffalo marketplace FB. His latest add shows two brand new frames.

New old stock Corvette frame never been on
1976 to 1979
Pick up only
$3000 or best offer

I was going to put these in the weight loss thread, but didn’t want to mess up 69427’s thread. :)

This was on marketplace for $5000 the other day. 2000lbs is my guess. 1980 vette.

Looks like fun (but dangerous).

Buy, 5000$ corvette, sell $2500 worth of parts, drive like you stole it, sell for$5000. :)

I’m Finally working on cars again on the Christmas break, although I spent most of it cleaning up trees that blew over. Thank goodness I got a Stihl saw for Christmas.

HAHA - Any nose/tail is going to need serious flares. With the birdcage and main section guess it makes it street legal (lights, etc.). Otherwise, go Exo-Vette.

But, at $19K more serious money.

Cheers - Jim

Go to 13 min and see a c2 abandoned in the weeds.

“327 with 300 horsepower. Original as it can be never apart.Carburetor, water pump, alternator, starter, plug wires, bell housing, transmission all numbers and date codes are correct. This came out of a 1967 corvette convertible with 48,619 miles. I have a short video of it running it sounds great no smoke and it idled perfectly. Also has the original 4 speed transmission with the original shifter. Selling as a complete unit I will not sell parts. $5500. Will listen to serious offers from someone who knows what this is”

Somewhat local CL ad.

“1963 Corvette convertible
I recently purchased this car from a local family after sitting in a garage since 1979. This is NOT an original car by any means. It is an old amateur race car. Original motor is gone. The car has not run in over 40 years. Frame is not rusty. It would make a perfect resto mod or very cool C2 Corvette racer
Only call if serious. I don’t answer texts or emails. $29,500 cash”

Looks like it's still available. I'm kind of surprised. It will be interesting to see what happens with collector car prices with the current economic slide we are on. And, the aging of the current population of buyers.

I usually don’t post stuff I’m considering buying. But, this car keeps me going back and checking. :)

My guess is the current inflation/recession and the picture of the two guys grinning from ear to ear are two factors. You know they got it cheap!

I just bought a rear vert clip and was happy with the price but my guess was the guy selling it got it for hauling away! :) He wasn’t a corvette guy and seemed pretty happy.

Not a Corvette, but interesting. $12K. Search Ohio marketplace.

“This is the RCR SLC rolling chassis that was bodied as a McLaren P1 in the Need For Speed movie. This chassis is in good condition and was not wrecked. The body is long gone (McLaren lawyers I guess), but the chassis is the only way you're gonna get one of these sweet RCR chassis without getting a whole car. Retains stock wheelbase and track width as the SLC. Has secondary hydraulic rear brake system for drifting. Had good radiator, pedals, shifter for Porsche transaxle, and was set up for an LS V8. Freaking nice shocks and electric assist power steering. Easy to bolt on any roll or mounting structure to this chassis and I see no cracks or bent tubing. It is a bit dirty and has some spray can black paint to hide the shiny aluminum, but would clean up very fast with a pressure washer. I took this on trade and frankly have no time to build anything right now. The chassis is rather easy to shrink or stretch the wheel base, so it would be useable for a myriad of kit car bodies. This is hell of a find, don't expect to find another one. Yes, it's dirty from sitting since the movie, but it's a damn good base. Might consider a part trade towards a Ducati or MV Agusta sport bike. “

That's a good deal. No more projects for me though.
Yup, I have too many projects and too little time too.

I’ve been looking at newer corvettes and the best deal right now is to forget about used and buy new. :)

We’ll see, hopefully Russia won’t go nuclear.

Price dropped to $27K a couple of weeks ago. I almost planned to drive the 5 hours. But, thinking next car should have a warranty.

Facebook marketplace NJ.
