You might remember this pic a while back.
This was mid September with heavy rains.

Sept-16-09.jpg

Well it never stopped raining and progress was hindered terribly.
We have finally gotten some favorable weather and made a little progress.
With daylight savings it is now dark when I get home so I have been working
with a battery powered drop light every night this week.

This shot was made this morning.
Plans are to start installing the metal roof tomorrow with a little help from
my friends. :) .......... Rain is foretasted for Tuesday ..... :crap:

40' x 72' with 12' side and 15' in the center.

I envy the size of it. Wish I had that kind of room. Someday,..............:quote:

That's not a GARAGE, that's a .................

WAREHOUSE......:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::D:flash:

AND jealousy knows NO BOUNDS......:friends:

watch out for mooches....

:sweat::D

That's a nice size. And the view back there is also real nice.

This is the first weekend in a month where we haven't had any rain!

I`m curious about your plans for insulation??

Alabama?? curious about a/c and ventilation, and roof color/type....

I recommend a white metal/steel roof....white galvanized....not all that much more than shingles, and you can DIY....

:harhar:

I hope the outside is hardiboard in 4x8 sheets/whatever works.....that shit will NEVER rot, be there till hell freezes over....

interior....IMO, 1/2" plywood walls, so you can fasten stuff to it....but sheetrock is 1/3 the price....except for finishing...that is a PIA....

I have managed to get a little more done but still a long ways to go.
As of right now I plan to insulate the spray booth but not the entire building.
The roof is vented well enough that once I get a ceiling installed summer
heat should not be a big factor and our winters are not very long and mild
compared to our northern friends. :D

What projects are you planning in there? A boeing 747 restoration or maybe tackle that rare antonov?? :)

Paint Booth

My paint booth is almost finished.
Still need to paint the inside of the doors and seal the bottom gap.
But it is workable so we're getting some parts for my son's Miata painted.

Still have a lot to do to the inside of the shop itself, just trying to find the time.
