This Sunday 2/26

Well, you hosers missed another great one. :stirpot:

Met at Richards Hot Rod Shop in Long Beach. He has a full machine/fabrication shop with 8-10 rods in various stages of compleation. There were about 50 cars outside for the run. Mostly really cool hot rods, but a few rat rods and a few sports cars and muscle cars.
We then went about 5 miles to Price Transfer warehouse in Dominguez. This guy is the owner of a company that transfers freight in and out of the harbor. He has his personal collection of about 50 cars, shop, and a recreated old time diner in a warehouse that he let us all see. Alot like the Pederson Museum in LA, but smaller.
Then to the Early Ford Store in San Dimas. Warehouse full of old and new hot rod parts.
Then to Walden Speed Shop in Pomona. Another well equipt shop with 8-10 cars in various stages of restoration.
Then up the freeway and up the mountain to the Los Rios Rancho at Oak Glen. This is in apple country and is a nice resort/picnic area. The Nature Conservatry ownes a surrounding apple grove with hikeing trails and picnic areas. Good barbeque and fresh apple pie.
Then a hours run down the freeway and home by 4:00.

Sounds like a good time. I spent the day in bed with a bad cold/flu, watching the first ever rained out Daytona 500.:hissyfit:
