radio brackets?

I've been searching the Assembly Manual and not found an answer, hence turn to the experts. Was there some kind of radio support frame behind the flimsy plastic gauge panel on the C3 (81) cars? My stereo has a big piece of rollbar padding supporting it and I'm suspecting that's not how the factory did it. Google searches only turn up the gauge panel. What am I missing?

I could just fab up something of course but I'd like to know how it was done properly before I start LOL

Made me look...

Checked the "Service Manual" it shows a short metal(?) strap mounted to the side of the radio/tape unit. That then is attached to an "L" bracket - I guess to the transmission tunnel or some other support location?

Thank You for that. I did eventually find that strap. I expected something more LOL...I think I can fab that ;-)
