rad support for BB

Quick question guys. I'm cleaning up my front clip and I though I would try to fit my rad craddle and rad/electric fan setup on the front crossmember to mount the clip. Well, the saddles in the craddle measure 28" and the rad can supports measure 26.5. It is a 4 core rad supposedly for a BB bought off the same guy. What should the measurements be?

The lower brackets that have the rubber cushions in them should be 27.5 inches center to center. Same with the radiator.

The lower is 28 center to center. Just thought, does the LT1 have a 4 core with the narrower cans? The rad is 2.75" thick on the core.

I believe all LT-1's used small block radiators and supports. Sounds like you have a BB support that has had the lower cradles moved.

yah...doesn't seem right. Why is the 4 core rad only 26.5 " center to center? Surely somebody has an idea? The guy I bought it off of is strictly Corvette so he should know. Just wanted to pick your heads before I phone him.
