Misc Vintage Racing Clips

Just picked up this 19 lb front clip and hood skin. Not sure what these are worth, but might add that vintage race car look.

Yes, they were never installed.

Not sure if that included the hood, maybe just the clip. He is a body man who was selling stuff to move south for retirement. He had a really nice early c3 he was in the process of selling (buyer securing loan). Paint was awesome.

It’s sitting in my dining room as it is to wide to go in the basement. . That kind of sucks as the basement is big, dry, and empty. Will probably hang it in the garage or shop.

These don’t pop up too often and he had just cut the price to move it, so….

Both the C3s cornered very flat - nice setups.
Expect the purple/white would be happier with a bit of splitter - or at least a replica Indy front-end, but alas probably not period piece.
The C2s looked better on track than the Mustangs. More to digest there if some data were available.

Yes, they put that edited video out recently, from last spring’s Indy race.

The beginning of this one is a bit slow.

LOL, the son is very friendly and respectful, but I got the feeling he was anxious obout the drive. Maybe it was because he straddled that roll bar, but I imagine the car is sentimental and $$$$.

Absolutely my favorite era in racing. Street cars that you could actually put your hands on. And the drivers/teams were the best of the best.
