Bird, what am I missing wrt the chat room. I see some chat messages, my header bar says "Chatbox Full" with no obvious way to post or clear. wtf over

chatbox full means it's the full size chatbox! not the resized one.

You just type on the left and hit enter to submit your message.

If it probes to be too big a PITA, I'll set up a real IRC chatbox
 
I think you guys have done a great job in setting this place up! So far everything appears to work and the different forum types are reasonable.

You might want to think about a membership drive...right now, I guess your only option is "word of mouth"....what types of things do you need to do to drive up membership whithout "word of mouth"? I don't know what your goal is for this site...

Just thinking out loud.

1. Links to this site in the various Corvette registries.
2. Are you in the various internet search engines?
3. Cheap adv in one of the vette magazines? ($$)
4. Hopefully you have some "outside" funding. But if not, introduce a voluntary small membership fee.
5. Look for outside "investors" to get some cash.....
6. Drum up a vendor or 2...


Like I wrote...all depends on your goals...like I wrote, I think you guys have done a great job setting this place up...here's to a long and prosperous venture:bounce: (where's that dual beer mug smiley when you need it!)

We are in search engines but it takes a while to climb there and sofar only the google crawler has been here I think (unless someone has seen a yahoo slurp spider here??)

If you have a donation thing at least make it affordable. We aren't all multimillionaires like the guys on DC:amazed:
A donation range like at (gasp!) CF is pretty reasonable. And have recognition for those that donate. LIKE STARS!!!! :nuts:
I also would like to see the option for a worthwhile donation like the St.Jude Hospital like on CF.

Also I would like to see a section for selling parts. And ratings for those that sell them.

Nothing wrong with word-of-mouth recruiting. I'd rather have quality members than quantity members like on CF.

Other than just corvette parts and cars for sale....why not open it up to FORUM MEMBERS and family selling houses or cars or just plain junk???

but have to be a REAL vette owner with some provenance...say a pix and some comments online ....posting history....so as it does NOT come to be a 'craigslist' type operation....

there are many cross refs of people looking to move, areas of other interests, any hobby but as long as we are all REAL vette owners/enthusiasts I see no harm...

classify it to type of shit for sale....real estate/cars/parts/tools/guns/collectibles/antiques/house hold items/wives/lovers/husbands/neighbors/friends/even a area to fuck your buddy over with....:pprrtt:

I think it could :shocking::shocking::shocking: wake up the spotlight a bit....
