I haven't followed F1 for a while, way too much drama and it turned into the worlds most expensive spec racing series with hybrid cars. Appears that this year they changed the engine rules and one of the changes was to reduce the compression ratio from 18:1 to 16:1. However, the are inspected pre-race and obviously can't be checked during the race. The engine is a tiny 1.6l V6 and apparently some teams have figured out how to reduce the combustion chamber volume when the engine is hot (during the race). I don't think the season has started and there is already lots of talk. I guess last year was the tire wear hack that was never resolved.
This is worse than the drama in Washington (or the US in general). You know what the two have in common? Too much money in the hands of clowns (I'll give the F1 guys credit for being clever).
