First car up is a Super Buick.

A couple of big surprises there. XKE for less than $15k. Have prices for vintage cars dropped?

It seems prices have dropped. I think everyone is gun shy after years of rampant inflation.

Yes, there were some nice cars there.

My guess on the Buick with the rebuilt title was no one wanted to mess with insurance.

Probably the vast majority of those cars would technically qualify as rebuilt. I guess they were under the radar or done long ago for a rebuilt title.

Lots of surprises in there. Looks like most of those cars could be parted out for way more $

Probably what happened to Harley motorcycles.

From Google AI

“Harley-Davidson is experiencing a significant decline in popularity and sales, with 2025 seeing a 12% drop in overall sales, falling to roughly one-third of its 2006 peak. The brand is struggling with an aging customer base, high prices, intense competition, and a failed electric initiative. Recent reports indicate a $29 million loss in 2025 and losing top-spot market share to rivals. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Key factors contributing to the decline include:
  • Aging Demographic & Lack of New Riders: The core Baby Boomer customer base is aging out, and the brand is failing to attract younger Gen Z and millennial riders who prefer lighter, more affordable bikes.”

“The classic car market is cooling down from a 2022 peak, with 2026 data indicating lower auction prices (down ~20%), reduced demand for pre-1970s models, and increased supply. Key factors driving this decline include an aging enthusiast demographic, rising ownership costs, and younger buyers preferring 1980s-2000s Japanese (JDM) or tuner cars over American muscle.”

I think this analysis also applies to the forum.
Personally, I've been involved in TOO MANY other projects and have let them get in the way of working on the 'vette. No work - no reason to post. I've just about got my desk cleaned off. Now finish up organizing the tools - what a mess! Then Back to some fun!

Cheers - Jim

Yes, life gets in the way. Also, all the Facebook groups help kill the forums.

Maybe, but they are still completly different in how they work. Sure, on fb you can post something and tons of people will see it, but on a forum things are a lot more organized. In my opinion, fb would be fine-ish for a yes and no answer, but for anything complicated a forum is a better option
