Bargains at auction? Some nice clean late model C3’s seem pretty reasonable. Not race cars just too lazy to start new thread.

Don't know when this was done but the prices look pretty good. $110K for the all original BB 68 convertible (last car) looks like the highest.

I never heard of these cars. Pretty impressive effort. I wonder how many of the plywood frame cars are still around?

YouTube offers up some pretty unique videos. I had never hear of a wood sports car either.

My guess is there is probably a club web page somewhere with more details and statistics.

It did pretty good racing. I was surprised.

The original MARCOS was "designed" and built in a very Narrow garage. MARsh and COStain did the layout and when the car rolled out it had "quirky" looks that were just enough to make it a popular cult classic. They attributed the looks to not being able to stand back and get a view of it. Costain was the Aero-guy, and brought his WWII experience with the wood Mosquito bomber to the build. They were light and sturdy, and a build that we studied in uni- back in the late 60s-early 70s. Very likeable car.

Cheers - Jim
