Elephant Falls Asleep After Soothing Lullaby From Caretaker
Elephants are commonly referred to as “gentle giants.” These majestic beasts are the largest land animals in Asia. Asian elephant, Faamai, is the epitome of a “gentle giant.” While some of us need expensive white noise machines or the soft glow of a TV screen to fall asleep, Faamai just needs to hear her favorite lullaby.
At her home in Thailand’s Elephant Nature Park, this sweet pachyderm loves nothing more than her caretaker, Sangduen "Lek", Chailert’s voice.
You can tell she and Faamai have a special bond when Lek starts singing the elephant’s favorite lullaby.
After just a few seconds of singing, the elephant pulls her friend in closer with her trunk. A few more bars, and she is on the ground,
slowly dozing off for the ultimate cat nap. Faamai was born in the ENP in 2009 and known to be curious and gentle.
Since 1986, Asian elephants have been classified as an endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. Poachers, habitat destruction, and other threats are leaving these animals’ lives at risk. The ENP is home to more than 35 Asian elephants, including Faamai, who have been rescued from abuse. The park provides a natural environment for elephants, dogs, cats, buffaloes, and many other animals at various projects across Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar. Watching Faamai soak up her caretaker’s beautiful song,
it’s hard to imagine how anyone could harm such an adorable girl.

Aficionados and just about everyone else who has a pulse. WOW !!
That's gotta be one sturdy aircraft! Looks like it's done with full
left rudder without differential power as all the props appear to be
turning the same RPM throughout the turn.
Then again, them Aussies are easily entertained. Not recommended if
carrying passengers as they would probably grouse about the landing.

P.S. As you probably know, seaplanes do not practice touch and go landings.
They call it a splash and dash.

It's obviously a European film, they are generally less compassionate than Americans. If I saw a child in that condition I would have tried to find out what was going on. I'd like to think most people would have done the same.
Animal rights groups use the same tactics to drive donations. The sad thing is in both of those cases little to no money gets where it is needed.
Like our welfare programs pennies of every dollar spent make it to the truly needy. I call it corruption others can have their own view.

There are SO many 'Charities' that I can't keep the names straight, but I have seen the same names on various lists pop up from time to time, with a calling out of the % of donation that actually get to the group they supposedly helping....and all I get is my BLOOD boiled.....not that I mind helping but when the head honcho gets mega bux salary....summfin rong!!! AND I wonder how in hell the Boy Scouts of America .org can afford to keep that super expensive stone office building just north of Bethesda Md off Wisc. Ave/Rockville Pike, I dunno joint gotta be worth about 50 billion bux these daze....took my son by there when he was in the scouts, years ago.... course I do have to admit, the insides of the place were not updated one damn bit since bathroom were added, maybe 100 years ago....:nuts:
