I've been working on getting this stinking 750vs Holley sorted out for several months now. I finally got it pretty well dialed in, or so I thought. I still have (had) a very slight flat spot on light throttle tip in but it was something I could deal with for the time being. So overall, I was fairly happy with this boat anchor.
Flash forward to yesterday, I had to go to my chemotherapy appointment so I hop in the car and off I go. Now the car has almost no acceleration on tip in. In fact, it sounds distinctly like a "Jake Brake". I still have the original narrow band O2 sensor hooked up to an LED A/F gauge. This thing is showing super lean all of a sudden, as in not even lighting up the lean LEDs. I can't remember exactly but I think the range is something like 10:1 on the rich side down to 14.5:1 on the lean. Something like that. So now I have to yank this goddamned thing off again and find out why I have no fuel on the primary side.
The silver lining is I know my secondary side is working just fine because I can see on the gauge when the secondaries open as the A/F reading instantly goes a little fat and the car runs great for the few seconds I'm into them.
40 miles round trip. Hope I didn't bang any pistons.
