Will it hurt anything to drive my car for a couple hundred miles with a mix of dinosaur oil and synthetic in the crankcase?
I recently had an incident where I lost most of the oil (no damage, I caught it in time) but had to put dinosaur oil in it to get safely back home. For reasons I won't go into, I haven't been able to take care of it yet. Last night I found out about a funeral today that I need to go to and it is important to me that I drive the car.

as long as it's the correct viscosity it'll be fine but I wouldn't want to leave it in there for another 3000 miles ...

Don't they sell part dino, part synthetic oils? Must be OK to mix them.

Simple fix, just drain out the half 15w-40 you put in there and put in the correct 10w-40. Oh, wait, this isn't CFOT. Wrong place for a smart ass comment!

it wont hurt anything you just dont get all the higher end benefits from the staight synthetic,
