Top of the list: an Aston Martin DB5 body. I've run across an article where some chap in England was making one, but it was just a one-off. It'd be fun to build one up with something crazy like a BMW V10 and fully-independent suspension.

One I wish I bought...

Chaparral 2D:

Saw it at the 'Ring while in High School - got lost in it's design/looks/technology - forever.
There was one for sale (one-off-kit-car) on eBay about 2004. Went real cheap - had crappy welded frame. Upper mid-west.
Damn - still regret not buying it.

Cheers - Jim

Not my pic - but I have one I shot just like it in the attic.

No CAD on a DB4 - but here are a few Astons to "scan"

Back in '05 when I was building a DIY-CNC machine, a chap in OZ built one for less than $2K AUS. Used large foam blocks.

Made a heap of foam bits when he was through - a full size body - then a car body laid up:

Now he's selling as kits. Seems additive cnc is coming along nicely to build something large.

Cheers Jim

The used to make a Ferrari Daytona conversion for the c3. A friend got one years ago and I thought he was nuts, now I wouldn't mind having one.

Like the body style of the first Ford Mustang? 1963 1/2 to 1966. You can buy the complete body in composite carbon fiber. I saw it in an auto magazine and it was at the Las Vegas SEMA show. I think it costs a dollar or two.

Love it. Owned a '65 Coupe in high school and college.
