Hello all,
Jason from Pennsylvania. I stumbled across this site , and just signed on.Ive been a vette nut since my childhood, but finally realized the dream just two years ago.( only took 40 years). My 69 Monaco Orange restomod has a late 60s motion /street custom vibe . Long term plans lead to a more modern pro touring style , but this current incarnation is scratching an itch from my school days. I built it in this style , as it came with the classic American 15" t70 torque thrusts and motion phase III rear flares. Ive pretty much gone thru the whole car in a frame on partial resto. Still has numbers engine, trans , and diff.
Im glad I found this, really looks like my kind of site!

Welcome to the motley crew of the Flying Dutchmen.....

Is that a REAL Motion car??? have you paid that price to get Joel Rosen to say if it is or not???

or is it s proven item one way or another without that bother/expense...??

Pix please.....

my car pix on my site now are a bit dated in that I started sanding just this week, maybe a few ideas for you.....

Always been curious since the daze of color rags 40 years ago also....those Motion cars had a LOT of dreamers after them....:idea:

I did the car as as a loose tribute style. I am interested in the history of the car, but do not have much known. I do not believe it is a true baldwin or motion built car . It is a 350/350 and the rear flares have been there since the 70s to the best of my knowledge. I lean toward a catalog mod local build early in its life. Ol Joel sure is to know , but I aint coughin up cash for opinion. Its a modest budget fun car, that makes no claims, but to give me enjoyment. But I hate to put on zl1 flares later , if by chance....

Thanks to all for the welcome, and nice comments. I gotta tell you the real car turned out just like I pictured it in the 1970s as I built the model car one summer. I wasnt sure how a 60s/70s street machine/motion tribute style would go over, but I get positive interest and appreciation of the "vibe" from all walks of people who see the car. The conversations it brings are the best part.
