Cars of Cuba

If these cars look this good in the tropical weather, they must have had some loving care. However, I suspect them have had Bubba repair jobs that are out of the world!
 
I've seen the cars up close and let me tell you, these people are masters about fixing those old cars with whatever home made tools or parts they find.
For example, I've seen homemade welders, using the wire from a wire fence to weld frames or body together.
People make some wooden buck to form windscreens then heat up the glass in contraptions that were supposed to be ovens.
Looked weird but hey, they made the damn windscreen and it works.
Weird carburetors using all kind or parts.
Huge russian truck diffs ended up in the rear end of a lot of cars.

They will make any engine fit and work into anything

A lot of them cars are now taxis and they are all converted to diesel engines.
say whatever you want, they kept them running and those old beast are still looking cool.
Just dont look for big HP'S as long they run and get them where they want, these people are happy.
