I have been smelling a coolant leak on my 99 Ford van for a while now and the shop finally found it. The van has front and rear A/C and heater cores, the lines to the rear heater core are rotted out. The rear A/C and coolant plumbing lines are all parallel and ganged together and the repair shop is afraid to mess with them for fear of damaging the A/C lines. They want to cut the rear coolant lines up near the engine and either loop them or block them off. Has anyone had any experience with this?
