    My '76 restoration (long post)

If you're willing to travel out of the city, there is Auto Design in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu that does amazing work. They painted (twice now) my friend Luc Chevalier's Mustang in pearl white with blue flames: After seeing his car, I had them do some small work on my Cobra as well. The results have...

    1969 427 restoration from Sweden

...would need a light to show when the fans starts since I do not hear them over the sidepipes... I do have the little black plastic front spoiler in the front, or is there any more parts that directs air flow that you see are missing? The car did not have this front spoiler when I bought it...

Looking for pic of installed 3pc pacecar front spoiler

Title say it all. I'm looking for closeup pic that shows how the spoiler fit the fender and how the back of the spoiler fit the wheel arch. If you got pic on underside it's even better. My spoiler pieces were made from mold of uncertain origin and I want to make sure they are similar to the...

    Rear end "gronnnch" noise

Had some problems with my 255/60's hitting the finder in the front and the inner fender in the rear. I had to grind the front spoiler and in the rear I had to add a aluminum plate to the inner fender to prevent it from rubbing through the inner fender. I can tell you from experience it make a...

    tire rub in front

I fitted my pace car spoiler and since the clearance to the front of the wheel well was already tight, the tire rubbed on it. I trimmed the wheel well in front of the right wheel and now have about 1/4 inch clearance. Is this enough ?

Near future project: Aluminum radiator support

I'm just thinking out loud - Front spoiler (Air Dam, Brakes) + Brakes = nose dive +scraping Now, Front spoiler + Brakes + nose dive = Front Weight Transfer Front Weight Transfer = Great Steering because you have made a larger contact patch on front wheels BUT, Front Weight Transfer =...

Near future project: Aluminum radiator support

Got the spoiler extension material installed a few weeks ago. Ended up with about two additional inches of drop. Put about a hundred to a hundred and twenty miles on the car at a Porsche track day at Putnam Park, Indiana. Spoiler worked well and stood up to a bunch of abuse. I found out I could...

    My '76 restoration (long post)

...you have to drill out the wheel hub or your rotor to get the 12mm studs to fit? I would also like to see the front so I can see the front spoiler when you have time. I bought the two side pieces of my spoiler for almost nothing but I still need to figure out what I want to do about the...

    1978 Darth Vader Vette

Rear Wing Here is the F1 spoiler I want to copy for the Darth Vader Vette - SPOILER Rather than mess with the gas tank - I have come up with 2 different ideas to gain access to the gas lid! 1. Use a latching system similar to the trunk release on most modern cars. Hinge the front edge of...

Near future project: Aluminum radiator support

Spoiler extension material? I'm looking to add another inch or inch and a half drop on the front spoiler. I'm trying to find a few feet of the common plastic/rubbery stuff to bolt to the present spoiler, but it needs to be an L shape (or square and I can cut it along the length) so I can attach...

    My '76 restoration (long post)

...One touchy area it the bottom corner. I have to made a smooth curve to match the back subtle bulging. Years ago, when I bought my front spoiler, I've been given a broken one in extra. Since this will probably be the more vulnerable part on the car, I'm proceeding to repair it and have...

    My '76 restoration (long post)

...I took the smallest drill bit size that wouldn't fit in the hole (1/16 or 1/32 larger). Very little metal have been removed. For the front spoiler check post #386 you'll see a complete view. I ruled out the 3 pieces pace car style spoiler, it was made from piss poor mold I got for 20$ (you...

My new 97 Firebird project I got for a 1,000.00

My '99 was running too hot with the body kit front spoiler, city driving was no problem but at highway speed it was way too hot after maybe 10 miles or so. I extended the air dam , that fixed it .....

    255 tire rubbing - damn

I had a problem with the 255/60 tire on the right front rubbing the fender in front of the tire, which was especially so with the pace car spoiler installed. I already trimmed the fender underneath the spoiler sidepiece back something like 1/2" and first thought I was ok, but when having driven...

    My '76 restoration (long post)

Front is almost done, bodyworkingly speaking. Still details here and there, but the front spoiler is finally glassed in and I could mud the whole front. As already said, the front clip is from a failed resto, and it show the guy to started was pretty heavy handed with sanding tools. I surely...

    Gas tank modification

maybe Bob (Bobs77vette) still has a few pics of his flip front 69 that had a modified gas filler :D why won't it work in the stock location? I have a spoiler on mine and I can get to the gas filler....

    SBG's C3

3500 lb car, hard corner .... no hit. I built this car to drive hard and fast, and I accomplish that about every time I go out - so while I rarely break anything - bending something has happened because I'm always at the limit. I wish I had time to get a spoiler on this thing before this...

    anybody use raceramps?

...was too low for my jack and it was a pain to jack up and get on jack stands. These ramps made it easy and the low angle didn't hit the front spoiler either. Ended up using them on my truck for a few things too like working on exhaust, oil changes, pulley change, etc. They are very...
