My guess - lowered the chassis and kept full range of suspension movement? Looks like a "mini" spoiler? NO Wing? Maybe saw a Diffuser in the last frame or 2. Belly pan? Full qualified cage? Not quite a GS - Could be much- much fun. Cheers - Jim

Duntov has a new page, and lots of interesting photos. Link below. This diffuser looks pretty functional, nice gradual transition. Link https://duntovclassics.com/duntov-racing/

    EXTERNAL AERODYNAMICS

Now that we are on the subject, here is an experiment I intend to conduct. I have already built diffuser tunnels between the frame and rocker panels/side skirts. Air is fed to them via the front fender splash panel behind the tire and barge boards along the frame. I built CF plugs for my...

Gorgeous workmanship. I'd be tempted - but hate cut a diffuser into that CF airdam - but it might be useful... The appears to be a lot of real estate available. (I'll admit - I just watched - didn't listen to the audio) Could have missed a clue there. Cheers - Jim

my thought is I need a 3d printer.... the way I built that - the ends are removable/replaceable so I can experiment as I go along

You've been working the splitter. Thoughts on a diffuser? I do like the rear "murdered" look on the bumper-ettes. Nice touch. Plate and tail lights could use some tone down - if it passes Tech. Cheers - Jim

aero is for people who can't build engines. :) actually, I still need to do a diffuser - but next major mod will be a larger motor.

Well explained Pappy. That is why the diffuser "mod" on the splitter "effectively" lengthens the spltter. The lower pressure is moved forward and increases the downforce lever. Cheers - Jim

    Plastic Fantastic 2

These front splitter "diffusers" do not make downforce at the discharge end, they actually create a low pressure area at the point where the floor of the diffuser starts to diverge from the ground. It works the same as diffusers at the rear of the car. If you create back pressure at the...

Yeah, I think if you look at pg 25 it shows a splitter diffuser. #488 & #495. I think there were a bunch of other posts, you would just have to work backwards to find them. The same principle as a rear diffuser.

I'm a bit interested in this because this is on the splitter, not the diffuser.

Pg 25 was first posts (working backwards) I saw on those diffuser ducts In Internal Body Aerodynamics Thread. There should be a bunch of older posts.
