So I haven't been posting here for a while as I've been out of town for work and don't have a place to work on my C3.
However last month I found what I thought was a very good deal on a British sports car in the city I'm working. I've had MG Midgets in the past that were a blast but this time...
I would look into extending the steering stops if it only occurs at max steering lock as someone else mentioned. I lost some steering lock when I went with VBower control arms that didn't have the bend in them like stock. Got used to it in a few days.
I built my A-arm rear suspension using the old 6 link images from this site. I now have a c5 suspension I would like to adapt to my car. Does anyone have c5 dimensions from centerline of the car and height from ground. I might be able to use the aluminum arms if I swap sides
I need more hood clearance for my 80 when using a taller intake. Buyer a new hood and then shipping gets pretty expensive so thinking about going with a hood scoop.
Anyone know of a non L88 scoop that would work on the 80 and where to buy? Would like to find a scoop similar to the 80 hood...
I built my own A-arm rear suspension with my fabricated uprights and stock C3 hub and spindles. I came across a rear C5 suspension complete less diff for $500 so I picked it up.
Been thinking about going with C5 spindles so need ball joint tapers to fab a-arms.
OK my 80 Vette is basically a track car but I still drive it on the street. Having the big back glass makes access to the a-arm rear suspension tough as I have to crawl through the passenger compartment to remove a tray I've located over the rear suspension.
Been thinking about removing the...
Just had to share a link to my brother in-laws Honda wagon project. He goes by Bam Bam in the thread. He also has aother wagon that pulls a trailer made from another wagon.
To make the offroad version he took another AWD wagon and grafted the chassis lower into another wagon plus super...
Right now I'm using the stock pump with built in reservoir using hydraboost. Have been thinking about going with KRC pump and remote. KRC has an 8oz bolt on and 20oz remote. Think I'll go with the 20. Found them in the Day Motorsports catalog.
In my leaky oil pan thread I found the plastic timing cover was breaking up.
Does any one know of an aluminum cover that will work on the ZZ4 roller cam block that was using the plastic timing cover. Per Cloyes their 2 piece design will not work on blocks that used the plastic cover
I'm traveling so no pics. I just mocked mine up with the shaft and welded to the frame. Pain to get to but it can be done. Be carefully if you have the fuel evaporative canister located in the fender well where you are welding
I have a ZZ4 motor I run in my track day vette. I've tried to use a canton roadrace pan and while it controls oil it will not stop leaking at the timing cover and rear main. I've replaced the gasket 3 times following Cantons directions with no luck.
Can anyone recommend another brand that may...
Started the car after putting side pipes on. No mufflers in the tubes yet so didn't run it long.
Went to start the motor later and a thud sound and no more spinning. Investigation found tank wasnt venting so after first run it pushed fuel through the carb into the engine.
Pulled plugs and...
