Your chance to win an S&W/M&P 15 Rifle (UPDATE_- winner infrmation)

First of all, again, thank you to all the mods and admins that allowed me to post this fund raising event.
And thank you to all that participated so freely and quidkly "for the cause"

We could not prepare for and do what we do, without the support of people like yourselves.
This is a great group of folks here and I'm proud to be here!

Unfortunately, the winning ticket was not from here.
It was drawn today at a little after 2pm EST, and the winner was a gentleman from Michigan who I had the pleasure of selling a ticket to as well.

Thank you once again for your support and well wishes. I share the comments and the fact that your site was one of the 1st to allow us, without hesitation to post the event. The team members were very humbled by your generosity:drink:

Thank you again!

Sincerely,

Gordon
Marine Operations
FL3 Airboat Search & Rescue

As some of you know, I volunteer my time as an airboat operator with a locally based, deployable, Search & Rescue (SAR) team.

As an overview:

The team was formed and active during the Hurricane Katrina rescue and recovery effort, and is presently on both FEMA and State EOC lists for evacuation/search and rescue operations, whenever and wherever the need arises.

Members of our team have been involved in rescue and recovery efforts during the recent flooding in Georgia, and the Midwest, as well as the Tsunami in the South Pacific Islands.

We actively assist a variety of Law Enforcement Agencies through out the state in support roles, search & rescue, missing persons cases, and special operations functions.

The team was formed by and is presently staffed by numerous active and former LEO's, Firefighter/Paramedics, EMT's, Military and other specialized civilian members to include veterinary, medical, communications and logistics support.

Our Marine Division (my team) utilizes:
Airboats from 14'-22' LOA
Various Fixed Hull Vessels
Amphibious Vehicles
HoverCraft.

Other teams include:

First Aid/Medical Teams
Ground Search Teams
K9 Cadaver Dogs
Aerial Surveillance Vehicles
Dive Rescue/Swift Water Rescue Teams
Animal Rescue Teams
Side Scan Sonar Operators
and a host of other support staff.

All personnel are trained, certified, and/or licensed in their specialty (from Airboat Operators to communications personnel)

As you can imagine, it takes a lot to keep a team like this afloat (ok, a little pun there:tomato:).

The team is a registered (IRS 501c3) Non-Profit Organization and funded through donations, public and private grants, corporate sponsorship and the individual member(s).

This where YOU come in

Central Firearms, Tampa

has donated the below weapon to be raffled off, with the TOTAL PROCEEDS going to FL3ASAR (see flyer attached).

For a $20.00 tax deductible donation, you have the opportunity to win the below described weapon, an S&W/M&P15, .223 rifle (see below).

Only 200 tickets will be sold and the drawing will be held June 12th @ 2:00 p.m.

In their kindness, they (Central Firearms, Tampa) have also offered to provide a raffle item each month to assist us in our fund raising efforts

We can certainly use YOUR help, in our attempt to help others.

Unfortunately, even for a non-profit organization, "PayPal" does not allow payment for raffle items or firearms on their site.:bonkers:

If you're interested in supporting our team and it's efforts, as well as the chance to win a sweet rifle for $20.00, please contact me here, or at (813) 478-2726.

Thanks,

Gordon

Do you have to register the gun??? :goodnight:

I guess that would depend on your state laws?

There's no registration in Florida.

You must meet federal requirements for ownership (Age/no felony convictions, etc), and the weapon would have to be shipped from one FFL to another.

It's a Semi-Auto, so not class III required either.

I'd like to thank those of you who supported the "Rifle Raffle" fundraiser to help support our SAR team.

You should have received your email tickets and possibly even the hard copies by now.
The stubs will be entered into tomorrows drawing for the rifle and I'll post up the winner here.

BTW-Ozzy, I sent you a PM:beer:

If there's anyone else that's interested, please get in touch with me either here, or by phone @ (813) 478-2726 prior to noon tomorrow (phone is the best option at this point).
I can make arrangements for you and get you in on the drawing.

And last but not least, I'd like to thank the site management and moderators who allowed this relative noob to post the information here.
It was very gracious of you to do so:beer:

I wish those of you who have entered, the very best of luck.

And on behalf of myself and FL3 Airboat Search & Rescue, aka: Airboat Search & Rescue, Inc., I would like to offer a sincere and heartfelt

Thank You!!!

Have a great weekend!!

Gordon
