Clinging to my guns and religion in KCMO.
I left a note on WiseCo's website inquiring whether they had any pistons that might meet my requirements for my next engine build. I never got the courtesy of a reply, so I'm trying to decide whether to give them a second chance (via a phone call) or just say to hell with them, and take my money elsewhere. Anybody done any previous business with these guys?

I gotta think that the answer was "no", so they don't even bother to reply. I emailed Speedway to find out who is the manufacturer of their rod ends and never got a response. I'm going to assume that the answer was "someplace in China".

I talked (phone, not email) to a tech at JE pistons a while back. He was very helpful.

Perhaps I'll give JE a call. They can't treat me any worse than Wiseco, I suppose. I'm just getting a bit frustrated on how much hassle it is to get a set of 427 pistons in the CR range I'm interested in. Pistons are the only component that I'm missing right now.

I appreciate the help!

What combination are you planning to run.

Even if I don't have something for you I might be able to send to in the right direction.

Standard bore (4.250") Chevy aluminum bigblock, 110 cc heads, .039" head gasket, standard rod (pressed fit) length, 9.8-10.5 target CR. Licensed street Corvette, but I do like to spend a lot of time on road courses when I have the opportunity.
Welcome to the forum, and I appreciate your contribution here.

Thanks,
Mike

None of the aftermarket companies (to my knowledge) make an off the shelf standard bore big block piston.

The minimum is 4.280 (Ross), so you're looking at a custom piston for that application.

I prefer Ross...Diamond is decent.

It's a brand new block, so I hate to bore out something that is still a little undersize just to get some off the shelf parts.
I appreciate your time and suggestions. I'll take a peek at the vendors that have been suggested.
