Talking with a fellow about his 79 he tells me he's taking his hood to a paint shop to be painted on the underside. Part of the expense is going to be scraping and prepping where the underhood insulation is applied. I don't ever recall any evidence of felt under my 81's hood. Was it there and simply gone by 1999 or was it left out by the factory to save a few ounces?
Did the 1981 come with an underhood insulation blanket as delivered?
