Trans gear vs. rear gear ratio ?'s

I found a deal from another 'Vette owner who decided after he bought all this stuff to go with an automatic transmission. He is including the transmission, a pro 5.0 shifter, an aluminum flywheel, a Lakewood blow proof bell (for adapting said trans.), a spec 3+ clutch, a mech. speedo. drive, a trans. mount and a slip yoke.:cool:

Now all I need to do is persuade him to install it all for me! (lol)

Just make sure you consider the bellhousing, driveshaft, shifter location, etc etc etc.

Those things add up quick.

I think keisler offers a TKO-600 with a .8x final gear as well, with all the misc bits included.

No disrespect to Keisler, but they are way overpriced.
 
I didnt know you were getting all the other bits as well, sounds like a good plan.

I would think twice about that light weight flywheel in that heavy ass car. I'm thinking 30 lbs would be a little better choice.
 
I can't use the flywheel, it's for a 454, it's part of the package I bought from another C3 owner. If anyone is interested in it I would like to sell it.
