When I replaced my 68th rear wheel bearings, I used a spare bearing set I bought B4, being Timken made in USA , on one side and on the other side made in Japan bearings.
I guess I can let you know in 100 years which one fails first with the Mile amount I drive this car.

The quality of seals vary a lot, the Timkens sold in the chain also vary. I installed a set of these in a T/A a few weeks ago and found they opened up 002 in final install. Switched back to the more expensive Timkens I buy from a non automotive supplier and they were dead on perfect at 0015"
I just stumbled up on William R. Timken Jr, who was director of Timken as we know it and appointed US ambassador in Germany in 2005. And some funding for 1/4bil USD government/tax money.
