Other then the face plate are C3 clocks all the same? In other words, if I got a 80 clock and used my face plate from the 75' would it fit perfectly?

The clock works are all pretty much the ame. That being said, I would not use an original style clock that has the contact points and spring wound mechanism, I would opt for a quartz rebuild kit.

I dunno, guess I"m old, I have worn a wrist watch for some 1/2 a century now.....:devil::quote:

when I redid my center dash, the clock was first on the list for elimination...

Is the 80 a quartz movement? I did not know that there was an anaolog clock in the 80 models. I thought that the clock was part of the radio and that the 80's had an oil temp. gauge instead of a clock.

The clock changed in 81-82 to the radio only when you had the CB option; you got a oil temp gauge instead.

If you had the standard radio you got a regular clock in the dash cluster and no temp gauge.

1977-1980 cars all had the standard clock. 1980 was the first quartz clock..

I got this info from Wilcox.
