A co-worker is basically dumping his '78. He is even pulling his built engine and throwing in a 350 that he has sitting around. He bought a HD motorcycle and wants the car gone. I have been talking to him about switching out my front steering (mine has leaks) into his and putting his Steeroids in mine. Plus undetermined cash. I have a March serpentine belt system with a '92? Pontiac steering pump. I had to do this to make the kit work. The only difference that I can tell between the SB and the BB kit is the pump attachment method. Anyway, Is this a practice/feasible swap? What should I offer him?

If you're wanting to switch to Steeroids, that's one thing, but if all you want to do is stop leaks in yours, it isn't all that difficult to rebuild the current setup.

Quite a few people have done the Steeroids conversion and I have yet to hear of someone regretting doing it. Can't comment on the cost.

MY guess is if you gave him 300 bux and you guyz did all the work, it would be fair swap....

and a rack conversion changed everthing on my car, MUCH BETTER, drives like new cars...and only 2.7 turns R& L not 3.7 so it's much quicker.....with modern rubber of say 17" it's almost all the car needs....

:drink:
