Spark plug boot protectors?

Who's using these style spark plug boot protectors?



Are they as good as they claim? What size did you use, 6" x 3/4", 7" x 1" etc...

I am, on several cars. They do work but not if they run tight against the headers, eventually they will fail too.

I still have the ram's horns but the heat's still pretty intense and I don't want to cook my leads. Putting the sleeves on certainly can't hurt...
