rad support

friend with a 73 had a rusty rad support.... i would have junked it, but being in australia makes that an expensive replacement item... so we fixed it up instead.
the owner did all the rust cut outs, and the shaping of the patches... i did the tig welding.
1" x 1" square tubing was used, cut ,opened ,tapered ,pinched and whatever else it needed.... total cost to do was about 3 bucks for some offcuts of tube

hahaha...upside down welding DOES take some learning...hehehe
truth be know though, im a boilermaker/welder by trade...been doing it for 26 yrs, and yep i CAN weld upside down...

the owner of the 73 is a good workmate and friend...
he doesnt buy anything if he can make it instead.... thats half the fun for him.
im off out, but will post some pics up later of his custom dash and consol in his 73.
he has since made door trims as well, but i havnt seen them yet for pics. and added electric windows and central locking.
