I have an 84 with the crossfire and I want to replace the stock distributer can I just use any one with electronic advance and if so whos got an opinion on a good one

Why do you want to replace what you've got? Is there anything mechanically or electrically wrong with it that can't be fixed with a simple rebuild?

I have to agree, especially on a CFI there is absolutely no need for some kind of aftermarket ignition system.

I've been using the stock '84 distributor in my car (see avatar) with no complaints. Plenty of reserve in it if it's just used for a stock crossfire engine.

I have to agree with the others here: You have nothing to gain by replacing the distributor in your 84. You can gain a little low- and mid-range torque by running a chip in your ECM which brings the timing curve in a little quicker, but swapping the distributor won't change anything.
