Is a 1990 a 700r4 or 4L60/e

700, I hear the 4L60e which is mechanically the same thing, rotating mass wise....didn't come along till '94 or so.....


I know the rotating mass is interchangable for the most part....

Picked up two trans cores, for like 75 bux for the motor home, hoping to find some updated parts from the 4L60e to use in the 700 core build up....not much luck there....oh well, I tried and it only cost maybe 20 bux for the effort.....:clap::cussing:
 
4l60 is a different name for the same tranny as 700r4. E is e controlled shift points

TRUE, but I was amazed at the CASE differences, I would have expected a valve body change out, of course....but holy SHIT!!!!
