How small the door gap?

I'm in the last steps of my bodywork, and right now I'm making my door gap even.
I was wondering how small you guys think I can get the door gap without risk.
Surely I made sure doors still can open, but I'm still worried by the body flex (my vette is a coupe), and the thickness a complete paint job would add.

I used a paint stick with sand paper wrapped around to file the gap and make it even. Worked very well.

1/4 inch,.....3/16 min is fine.....anything closer and you almost guaranteed to have problems....
