Wanted to introduce myself.... the name's Jim. C-3 Vette owner since 1982. I do all my own work and rely heavilly on the knowledge of others. I'm always open to learning new/better ways of doing anything and willing to share what I know. Here's my ride and the power plant. Thanks for the opportunity to become of member. :noob:

That Ford comment goes back a while in family comments/history I must have mentioned it here in the past....

anyway....at some rather young age, I asked Dad what was his first car....he said a T Ford....ok.....what did you buy AFTER that?? a Chebby....

why Dad?? he looked at mom and just snickered.....Dad was born in '05 mom in '03 sis in '31, me in '44.....so the time frame and my relationship to being a car person/hotrodder may make for some sense.....

turns out..Dad broke/sprained his wrist on a T crank, engine kicked back on him apparently a very common happening....

:amused: I've heard that about them cranks....imagine what a 502 would do to the arm!
