Flares on 69

I am installing a set of flares on my 69. I purchased them from Mid America. The car has stock trailing arms at present.
My question is, does anyone have a similar setup and what size wheel/tire combo do you have. I would consider offset arms if need be. Haven't decided on wheel manufacturer yet, nor tire Any ideas WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I have GM Flares, stock trailing arms, and 285/40x17 tires on 17x9 wheels with 4" backspace. Tires are Goddyear Eagle GS-D3's
