Electric emergency brake system

I thought about it. Sure would clean up the console area. $550 for the E-stop is nuts. You could do it easy for less than $100.

I know that having a good e-brake (after clipping in the Camaro subframe) is in top 3 things I really like about the conversion...... as for the e-version. I still know that girls like a good J-turn and pressing a button does not have the same effect.

I think you could do it with a 200lb linear actuator with current limiting. The problem is a 200lb actuator is very slow. In an emergency situation, you don't have seconds but with a lever you can apply the brake in a fraction of a second.

This was posted the other day and, in the video, the guy talks about how people hide the brake (by using an E-brake) for custom builds. It convinced me that it was a bad idea.
