3970010, Mortec.com says that this casting number was used in 302, 327 and 350 cid engines.
V0428HV decoded with help from NastyZ28.com.
V = Flint engine factory
04 = Month (April)
28 = day (28th of April)
HV = Suffix code used in 1965 Corvette 327cid/350hp engine with manual transmission.

same as what I came up with. Thanks,,, 69 was the first year of that casting #

What does the casted date code say ?
If that says 65 as well, you have found a very odd thing.
Otherwise it appears to be a restamp.:confused2:
