Looks like about 600,000 vehicles affected.
I haven't kept up with the newest generation of GM engines. The engine that is recalled is an L87. The issue seems to be the engine lubrication that causes them to seize up. Or, as GM refers to the problem "loss of propulsion". Pretty serious problem.
