Ive got some .015" carbide coated Ti plate that I was thinking of using for my pad backing plates. I already have .015" regular Ti on the car but Im not happy with how 2 of the plates came out so Im thinking of redoing them all if this is going to be any better. Any technical info on its thermal properties? Or just some comments on this material compared to regular Ti? I know .015 is pretty thin for a backing plate but its got to be better than nothing... right?

It's probably better than nothing but the coating, being so thin, probably doesn't help much. Sounds pretty exotic. Where did you find it?

A friend has access to it at work... Scored a few scrap pieces. Just trying to get the most out of these stock brakes for the least $$ before Im forced to upgrade.
