Afternoon,

I'm wondering if it is possible to use standard hardware to hold the rear of the hardtop to the deck lid? Any ideas as to what size they should be?

thx as always!

I used to have the HT to my '72 vert here, it took a conical shaped bolt head that went into the hold down latches, same as my convertible top....I had the tabs in the middle and down each side for bolts I never used.....just the two rear latches and the 3 on the windshield....

So it should have the sames kind of locking 'pins' as the convert. frame? I was thinking it used long studs and some sort of washer and nut.

I bought this car in '95 and so it was a old show car back when....as such it could have been modified using convertible top conical pins instead of some bolt arrangement....they fit fine into the rag top chrome latch fitting, that's all I ever used for some 4 years winter running....

it maybe not stock, but surely one hell of a lot easier than a bunch of nutz and bolts....
