Bumper "Corvette" emblem attachment?

The AIM just shows where they go; how are these attached? Adhesive or nuts? It's a '75.

I don't know how the factory did it, seems to vary from car to car and year to year....but I cut the studs off and use a dab of RTV silicone seal, by GE,, rubber stuff that smells like vinegar....tape in place overnight....

sticks for years....in fact I use it for those stick on bubble mirrors along with the tape that lets go...still there, 15 years later....

Thanks Gene; I took my chances and drilled the holes. Purchased threading nuts from Lowe's.

I would have taped a straight thin piece of wood, measured them out and stuck them on overnight....but car would be painted first....

I have a '65 vette FInj emblem on my ass end....glued that way...
