Wow, this is great ..... To mask off awkward shapes like headlight buckets, air inlets or cables for example I use aluminum foil .... Many times you don't even need tape .... On a few other pars I have used cling wrap as well , works just as good .... Well, if it's good enough to wrap a sandwich it's good enough for a top notch paintjob ... LOL

I use that too, did it last week when bedlining the underside of a car. I didn't feel like taking everything off like the clutch cylinder booster parking brake stuff etc.. I used alu foil to mask it off. Works every time!
 
My wife suggested me trying this years ago when I sprayed a car for my daughter. Been doing it ever since.
