Anyone running an aluminum driveshaft?

If so, what did it weigh? (IIRC, my steel driveshaft weighs 10 1/2# with u-joints.)

I'm happy with the torque capability of my stock driveshaft, but I'm just curious what weight/torque tradeoffs there might be.

I think i remember turtlevette put one on his car. I assume you have looked into carbon fiber shafts? A little too much $$$ though- For me at least...

I have one under the camaro, it's a stock LS1 shaft, very light but thin wall. The quality stuff from Dennys is a good bit heavier but still much lighter than stock.

Go to dennys, he probably lists the weights, if not..just ask.
