Adjustable vacuum and mech advance kit ??

I have a Proform distributor with standard vacuum advance, considering that this kit cost about half of what I paid for the entire dizzy, Is this kit any good ?

Can this be used with a stock HEI distributor ?

You're much better off using a fixed vacuum advance with known specs - the specs for all the vacuum advance units are outlined in my paper. Select the one you need and use a non-adjustable so you know what you have and know that it meets your requirements.

The aftermarket advance weights are junk - they are not hardened like the stock weights, and they quickly wear out. And, there's no good reason to use them - you can get the curve you want by simply installing the right springs on your existing weights. Mr. Gasket kit 928G will have the spring selection you need for either an HEI, stock points, or ProForm distributor.

:thumbs:Those adjustable cans are hard to set, and don't stay when set. The aftermarket weights are junk, and don't improve anything at all.
