General Information

I bought this bone stock '79 in 2004 and it only needed a brake job... LOL

I replaced the entire suspension, brakes, installed new stainless brake lines, replaced the cracked rear bumper and had the car driveable after working on it for about 6 months.
Then I realized the TH350 wasn't all that great for cruising 60-70mph.... The $400 paintjob (done by the previous owner) didn't really look all that good either....
I replaced the front bumper and added the 1pc pace car spoiler, my neighbor painted the parts and now the painted bumpers and spoiler made the rest of the paintjob really look like crap.
I started stripping the car in 2006, flared it, painted it and installed a 383 with a TKO600. I added new stainless braided fuel lines and got rid of the heater and AC components while I was at it...

The seller in 2004:

... yes Sir... it only needs a brake job .... :)))

The paint was done in 2006, the engine and trans in 2006/2007..... Fast forward to 2010:
I heard Vanacor was back in business so I called them and ordered the matching front flares, 1" wider than stock. I finally broke down and got 17" rims with modern tires: front 17x9.5 with 4" bs and 275/40 tires, rear 17x11 with 3"bs and 315/35 tires

2012: re-did the rear suspension, installed the dual mount fiberglass spring, installed trailing arms with all new bearings and spindles, JohnnyJoints, upper and lower strut rods, telescopic half shafts.....

2013: gutted the T-tops and the doors, shaved about 80lbs off the car.....

2013: currently installing 7qt oil pan, Melling pump, new rack and pinion steering ....
