General Information

Wel, since it is far from finished there is not much to show for right now. I'm still in the middle of finishing body work, which was extensive. I'll make a short rundown.

Chassis is completly restored with all around new bushings, new engine, refurbished M22 and rear end. Due to some errors (before I knew any of the forums) and some further modifications I'm going to redo them one last time to make sure everything is like i want it.

The car was originally imported in Belgium by GM. Tanksticker is still available.

Suspension/drivetrain. :

Currently stock with all around poly bushings. Front will become metal ones with VBP upper A-arms for added caster. Rear already have spherical strut rods and I will probably add a Johnny joint.

Rear end currently is a 3.70 but going to change it to a 4.11 which fits my engine trans combo better. Hopefully I will be able to put in a kiesler kit in the future.

Shocks are Koni's all around.
Everything else is new also.

Chassis :

Is basically stock, but completly sandblasted, treated with zinc and powdercoated.

Body :

I had a bad experience in the past that destroyed my original body, which forced me to buy a second 79 as a donor for the body. Sadly after dismantling it proved to have some birdcage problems. I used the first destroyed body as a test and started dismantling it. Next I took my new body apart also, changed out the birdcage which was sandblasted, zinc treated and powdercoated also. Then I put it all together again and started repairing cracks and little faults, which is the stage i'm in right now.

The car was originally fit with a front and rear spoiler and it will stay that way. I will add an L88 hood due to unsufficient hood clearance with my future intake.

Engine :

The engine is based on a design that D. Vizard discribed in 1 of his books. It has the stroke of a 327 combined with the bore of a 400 ci, allowing the use of much longer rods from Oliver. They are fitted with JE forged pistons with a CR of 10/1. The bore/stroke combo allows for higher rpm which should make a perfect combo with the 4.11 gears.

The heads are Dart Pro 1 aluminums with 215 runners and roller springs.

The cam was a Crane street roller, soon to be replaced with a Crane custom cam.

The engine has currently a Victor JR with a Holley 650 dp on top, soon to be exchanged with a ITB crossram setup and FI.
