General Information

The only remaining Vette I still own of those I've had is my version of the Silver Anniversary edition with Pace Car aero package, L88 hood, Hooker sidemounts (black), Western Superlites, various BB's (including alum head 496 in the works), Muncie, 12-bolt IRS, lowered to Chevy Power book race prep heights on Daytona springs and KONI adjustable dampers, various Guldstrand suspension components (more on the way), and miscellaneous items I'd rather not disclose here. Potent is an understatement.

The photo of the Warhawk with my SA (usually seen in my Avatar) was taken some years ago at MEM Signature Air FBO (current operator), about as far from the terminal as was possible. According to the best info I've been able to find, the P-40E-1 in the foreground is "Holdin' My Own" of Lt. Dallas A. Clinger, 16th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group, Kweilin China, 1942-43. Absolutely stunning in person, it's likely the finest flying example of a P-40 in existence, and purists should note that nobody's taking off points for the avionics having been modernized a good bit.

The '69 (red) was an L71 4-speed I purchased up in PA the day before Kuwait fell. The second owner had redone the interior in white leather. Coach in the background was an '87 Wanderlodge PT40. Both are gone.

The '70 (bronze) was a ZR1, which was already incorrect when I got it, and had a hot 427 under the L88 hood. Yeah, those are Centerlines, and they stick out too far. On the right surface it could actually pull a wheelie on occasion. Why did I ever sell that one!?!

The '92 (quasar) was an LT1 6-speed. The C4's always looked unfinished to me, hence the ground effects package. When I put it up for sale, it was featured (editor's choice) on the cover of Corvette Trader. Not a shark, but I still miss it.

Stay tuned, as I'll be posting a few pix of other cars of interest I've owned and/or raced...
