General Information
I received this car in March 0f 2007 after my Uncle passed away. "While I'm at it" does not even begin to describe development of this project.
Interior: Stock. Radio and clock don't work and never will. Removable rear window from the factory is cool.
Accessories: 1) Vintage A/C, Heat and defrost. (no more vacuum controls all wires to stock controls) 2) Headlight relay conversion by the one and only Big Bird. Note: Factory Alarm - deleted.
Body: Stock plus L88 long hood from J&D Corvette.
Suspension: Front = VB&P conversion to dual mount adjustable composite leaf spring, with tubular A-arms, Blistein shocks. Bird converted to Moog Ball joints. VB&P SS power steering kit. Bird also rebuilt the steering gear with parts from Gary and added VB&P HD tie rods w/ Moog tie rod ends & idler arm. 1.25 in. sway bar. VB&P spreader bar. Rear = VB&P dual mount adjustible composite spring. Smart Struts. Blisten shocks. T/A's built by Mike(TracDogg)
Brakes: No power assist. VB&P calipers (hawk pads) and rotors (slotted thermal treated).
Wheels & Tires: Bonspeed Huntingtons 8X17 (machined to be hub centric and lugcentric) shod with NittoNT555 - 255-50-17. Second set old AR cast alum. mags w/BFGs.
Drivetrain: Rearend= stock 3.55's Trans.= Turbohydo 400 rebuilt w/ shift kit, HD 2000 rpm TQ. Engine = 355ci. (still needing tunning RWHP275 RWTQ=299) Heads are Brodix STR AK273 (170cc head with 67cc chamber) Edelbrock Performer EPS with a Holly 650 DP. Most of the rest of the engine build-up is not known as it was purchased w/out the spec. sheet and I'm told that the cam was a custom grind. Dewitts alum rad. and twin SPALS keep it cool.
